"Four Pieces for String Quartet" Now Available on All Streaming and Download Platforms
Steve's fractal string quartet was composed in 2006 and premiered in Pittsburgh, January 2007 by the West End String Quartet (Sarah Washburn, Jessica Meyer, Carlynn Savot, Russell Wilson). Broadcast on WQED-FM Classical, Pittsburgh in September 2007.
"Fragments 1991" Now Available on All Streaming and Download Platforms
Steve's first CD from 1991, Fragments of Illumination, has been remixed and mastered from the original one inch tapes. This album features Steve's early pieces for guitars, flute, violins, percussion and electronic sounds composed and produced in Philadelphia. "Electronic Symphonic" Now Available on All Streaming and Download Platforms
Steve's 2022 release,"Electronic Symphonic" features works composed for orchestra and chamber ensembles arranged for analog and digital synthesizers, chiptune, and sampled instrumental and percussive sounds. The pieces were composed between 2005-2014 and represent Steve's compositional technique of fractal and self-similar musical structures built from layered and gradually expanding 12-tone rows that are extended across the duration of a composition creating tonal harmonies and textures. Cellist Dave Eggar is featured on the piece, "Oscillations (Cello Mix)".
